Death has been a mystery to humankind since the beginning of time, and yet, this is one aspect of our lives that we can all agree on. All living things eventually die, or at least appear to, but the mystery is, what then? To understand life after death, we must first have an understanding of the meaning of these words, 'life and death'. Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines death as — the ending of all vital functions without possibility of recovery, either in animals or plants or any parts of them. If you will agree, this definition says very little for our understanding. In fact, 'the ending of all vital functions without possibility of recovery' cannot be determined by some of our most experienced professionals.
The end of life is meaningless to us unless we have a clear understanding of what life is. Once again, Merriam-Webster states the meaning of life as: — an organismic state characterized by capacity for metabolism, growth, reaction to stimuli, and reproduction. However, if you look a little deeper, you will discover that 'there is no universal agreement as to a definition of life'. Therefore, if death cannot be determined with certainty and life cannot be agreed upon, there must be a profound meaning to these two conditions of human existence. The answer must lie in an area that we have over-looked. Since we can all agree to the fact that we will leave this life at some time, wouldn't it be a wise assumption to give more serious thought and reflection to this great change which we will eventually face?

There is no Death! There is only an entrance into a fuller life. Life and Death is fundamentally a matter of consciousness. We are at one moment conscious (life) on our physical plane, and the next moment withdraw completely, or die to another plane of existence. Our bodies or houses that we have inhabited begins to disintigrate, but never to die, and will return to the pool of useful service. We will find ourselves on a new plane of existence which will be determined by the way that we live our lives here. There is no need to fear this most natural process. When you have learned to trust in your True Self, only then will you know where to look for the truth to these mystifying questions.
When you are ready for this knowledge, it will help you to prepare yourself for your own time of passing as well as to help you with the grieving process of a loved one. Our lives on earth are to be lived by continuously learning in preparation for this great change toward eternal life so that this new life ahead will be appreciated and accepted and in turn, become a source of great hope, expectation and joy. This does not mean that you will not grieve the loss of a loved one, but you will, in fact, better understand the meaning of their absence and therefore, grieve with knowledge. The thought of death should not be dreaded, frightening or sad for this is not a final process. As knowledge is gained, death will be viewed in it's true perspective, as a new birth; a graduation into a new level of existence, and only then will humanity see life as it really is; the beginning of a journey toward the union with our true source, God.
 Is it possible to know what will happen to you after you die? All through the ages, there have been many excellent sources provided to educate you on this great mystery in life, but this information has been very difficult to aquire. How is it then possible for you to gain this inner spiritual assurance, the definite knowing feeling, the absolute faith that life does not end at the grave and that there awaits for you and those you love, an opportunity in new dimensions for the further development of your real Self, the Real You? Death need not be a mystery for those with an open mind and a desire to know. When you are ready, the guidance you need will always be provided. But will you have the "ears to hear and the eyes to see?"
Is it possible to know? If you could find the answers to many of the questions that you have held for so long, what would it mean to you? Would it give you more confidence and piece of mind? Would it help to settle your mind if you knew about the whereabouts of the loved ones that have passed on before you? And what about life here on earth?  Wouldn't it be nice to know that there is more than just life and death? They may say, "It can't be proven, so why bother?" Well, we bother because we sense that there is more to life than just appearances. We bother because we have a higher sense that urges us on toward greater experience and eventually perfection. But in order to find the answers, we must learn to still the mind-chatter and search with intention. We must learn to be in a state of acceptance to the answers that we will find. And we have to learn how to recognize when we have found them. This incredible 3-volume series, "Through the Mists", "The Life Elysian" and "The Gate of Heaven", is our recommendation in this first phase of your journey.
